John Bechtel serves as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for Walled Lake Western Football and is widely respected as one of the most accomplished defensive minds in Michigan high school football. With decades of coaching experience, Bechtel has built a reputation for developing disciplined, hard-nosed defenses and mentoring countless student-athletes throughout his career. Prior to joining Walled Lake Western, he enjoyed a successful run as head coach at Farmington High School, where he earned recognition for his leadership and football knowledge. In 2026, Bechtel was elected to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame, further cementing his legacy in Michigan prep football. 

Tyler Stevens is the Varsity Running Backs Coach at Walled Lake Western High School, currently entering his fourth year with the Warriors football program. A graduate of Northville High School, Coach Stevens previously coached in Northville before joining Walled Lake Western. Known for his passion for the game, strong leadership, and commitment to player development, he works to help student-athletes grow both on and off the field. Stevens takes pride in building a tough, disciplined running back group while continuing the tradition of excellence within the Warriors football program. 

Scott Kazmierski is entering his third season coaching football at Walled Lake Western High School, bringing more than two decades of coaching experience and collegiate-level expertise to the Warriors program. Prior to joining Western, Kazmierski spent 18 seasons on the coaching staff at Wayne State University, including 17 years as defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator, while also serving as co-defensive coordinator and defensive running game coordinator. During his tenure, he helped mentor numerous All-GLIAC performers, Academic All-GLIAC selections, and an All-American while contributing to one of the most successful eras in Wayne State football history, including the program’s 2011 national championship game appearance. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Kazmierski is known for his leadership, player development, and commitment to building disciplined, high-character student-athletes on and off the field. 

Jon Alandt serves as the Wide Receivers Coach at Walled Lake Western High School, where he brings energy, experience, and a player-focused approach to the Warriors football program. A graduate of Northville High School, Coach Alandt continued his football career at Albion College before transitioning into coaching. Prior to joining Walled Lake Western, he coached at Northville, helping develop athletes and build strong team culture. At Western, Alandt is dedicated to developing skilled, disciplined receivers while emphasizing hard work, accountability, and teamwork both on and off the field. 

Chris Fahr joins the Warriors this season as Offensive Coordinator after serving as Defensive Coordinator at Davison High School during the 2025 season.

Fahr brings 19 seasons of Michigan high school head coaching experience, compiling a 103–82 career record (.557). He served as head coach at Birmingham Seaholm from 2005–'10, posting a 27–29 record.

Coach Fahr compiled a 76–53 as the head coach at Waterford Mott from 2012-'24. Fahr built the Corsairs into a perennial playoff program, qualifying for the MHSAA playoffs eight times and posting an 8–8 postseason record. During his tenure, he led the Corsairs to the schools first playoff in 2016. In 2023 Mott won the MHSAA Division 2 District and Regional Championships, the first district and regional football championships in school history.
